New Orleans Bookstore Fosters Community PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 01 August 2007
The Community Book Center, the only African-American-centered bookstore to reopen in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina, recently unveiled plans to launch a "business/training" center.

Scheduled to open next month, the training center will offer business owners access to office equipment such as computers and fax machines, as well as training in business development. The owner, Vera Warren-Williams, is also currently constructing a conference room addition to the bookstore and plans to add a coffee shop in the near future.

Patrons of the training center will be charged on a sliding scale.
