Tedd M. Walley, considered by some to be the comic book world's "man-in-black," is the founder of the independent comic book company Voodoo Maverick Publishing and its flag ship title, MATHILDA™. What makes him and his company unique is that he does all of the writing, penciling, inking, lettering, advertising, marketing, promotions and web design himself, in addition to his business duties for the company itself. Voodoo Maverick Publishing is the sole effort of Tedd M. Walley and he would have it no other way.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Walley has been drawing, and reprimanded for drawing, since the early age of eight. He has earned college degrees in advertising design and commercial art and has since been plying his creativity and talents in those fields in a variety of ways for almost ten years. A jack-of-all-trades with an already impressive and, self-admittedly, colorful resume, (which includes things such as celebrity bodyguard work, college instructor, graphic designer for an advertising agency, t-shirt artist for rock bands, and advice columnist) he felt driven to push the envelope of his own creativity and talents but lacked a forum. So he spawned Voodoo Maverick Publishing.
Mr. Walley continues to make his home in New Orleans, LA, where he balances a career as a college professor of computer graphic design, graphic design, cartoon and traditional illustration [Delgado, City Park Campus] with his publishing duties.
