On another topic, I am very interested in discussing a project with Sounds True. It is a full shamanic course using multi-media. I'm well into the manuscript already and have several audio files ready to go with others planned. I am drawing on nearly 20 years of teaching shamanism with people from diverse backgrounds. Our focus has always been working with small groups which has given us a deep sense of what works and doesn't work in presenting this material. Since the beginning, we have supported people to develop a way of living and being in the world which is grounded in Reverent Participatory Relationship with all beings. Part of the deep malaise our culture experiences is due to the dislocated feelings many people experience. The work we do is to support people to return 'home.' By this I mean, home in their bodies, home in the place where they live and at home on the planet. As a part of this work, we support them to be in deep relationship with spirit and themselves. The article below which was published in the Journal of Shamanic Practice may help to give you a sense of my perspective.
